CherryPal Mini PC aims to bring cloud computing in your livingroom

The CherryPal mini pc is a small, black, rectangular box with not much inside: just the processor, some flash memory and connectors. Nothing you would be attracted to, but just about everything the usual non-techie person really wants - something dead simple.

Cherrypal aims to redefine the concept of cloud computing and bring it into everyones livingroom. The box connects securely to the Amazon computing cloud, has no moving parts and eats just about 2 watts of energy.

Correction! The main operating system is linux. Firefox is not an operating system. I suppose you must have meant that firefox will be the only user interface.

Interesting, but that’s a pretty high price for what it really is… I guess its kind of a convenience charge since the people they’re trying to sell this to most likely won’t understand the specs side… And it looks pretty good.

Far too expensive for something so simple. Imo that is.

Not really, I’m pretty sure they arent charging any further subscription fees unlike the other “cloud computing” products about to come out.

Too expensive, I could make a version of that for half the price.
